What is the necessity of designing and applying a community electronic patrol stick system?

Security area patrols typically rely on traditional methods such as early personnel identification or random checks by supervisors. With the advancement of time, the drawbacks of this approach have become increasingly apparent. This patrol method is unreliable, inefficient, and lacks authenticity. It is not easy for managers to accurately grasp the work status of patrol personnel using patrol sticks.

Most communities have installed CCTV systems. Many believe that installing electronic patrols with CCTV is redundant investment. This is not the case. CCTV and electronic patrols are often complementary. The advantages of CCTV and electronic patrol sticks are described below:

1. CCTV can only serve as evidence after an incident occurs, while patrol sticks can identify potential hazards in a timely manner. Because security personnel must go to designated locations at specified times, this allows them to prevent incidents before they happen.

2. As a manager, if you want to understand the daily work of security personnel through CCTV, you can only review videos daily, which is time-consuming, laborious, and cumbersome. By using computer software to process the electronic inspection management system, you can clearly see the inspection status of the inspectors, making your work easier.

3. Managers cannot control the nighttime sleep, departures, and punctuality of security personnel. Electronic patrol sticks easily solve this problem. Only when security personnel truly act according to the requirements of their supervisors can potential hazards be identified and addressed promptly.

4. CCTV cannot detect smoke in a timely manner, and the service life of community smoke detectors often exceeds their design life, leading to frequent false alarms and malfunctions. Through electronic patrols, security personnel can arrive promptly, identify fire hazards, and prevent fire accidents.

5. CCTV has blind spots (commonly known as "dead angles"), and many criminals engage in illegal activities outside the range of CCTV surveillance. The electronic patrol system allows patrols to check these blind spots promptly, significantly reducing the accident rate in CCTV blind spots.

6. The electronic patrol management system requires patrol personnel to arrive promptly, allowing them to make community visitors feel safer and more secure, increasing their trust in the community, improving the overall image of the community, and raising the management level to a new level.

From the above patrol systems, there are three types of patrol management: sign-in, spot checks, and electronic patrol management systems. The advantage of patrol stick sign-in is low investment, but the disadvantages are low authenticity and reliability. Items used for sign-in are generally fragile, leading to high consumption during use, and historical data is not easy to preserve. Data may be lost or corrupted during transmission. Post-hoc analysis of historical data mainly relies on manual perceptual analysis of symbolic forms.
