Patrol sticks are increasingly being used in communities. They are designed to make patrol work more scientific and standardized, combining technological and human security measures for effective management. This document details the steps involved in using a patrol stick.
Upon receiving a patrol stick, install the provided software onto a computer according to the manufacturer's instructions. After installation, set up the system using the video tutorials. For initial use, connect the patrol stick to a computer via USB cable and use the management software to upload personnel information and parameters. This completes the initial setup, allowing multiple users to share a single patrol stick.
After initialization, the patrol stick can be powered on. Personnel information is stored on a circular card. Different personnel can be distinguished using different cards. The patrol stick reads and displays personnel information on its screen. Pressing the employee ID button displays the relevant information. Pressing and holding the power button for two seconds switches users, facilitating shift changes.
Set up patrol points and plans along the patrol route. Install patrol points at designated locations. Configure patrol plans in the management software (different plans can be created for various patrol schemes). Patrol personnel simply need to approach a patrol point within the sensing range; an audible and vibration signal confirms successful check-in.
After completing the patrol, the manager connects the patrol stick to a computer via USB and uses the management software to collect data, allowing for record retrieval and report downloads.
